This Privacy Policy explains how Garahe (https://www.garahe.store), operated by Philippe Mathew (“we”, “us”, or “Garahe”), collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and related services. It is intended to meet practical transparency expectations under the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, including the Data Privacy Act of 2012 where applicable.

Garahe is a curated car marketplace. Our contact for privacy requests is legal@garahe.store.

Account and identity: when you sign in (for example with Google via our auth provider, Clerk), we receive identifiers such as your name, email address, profile image, and a unique user id. Listing content: if you sell, we store vehicle details, descriptions, location/area information you provide, and photos you upload (hosted with our image provider, Cloudinary). Usage data: approximate device/browser info, IP address, pages viewed, and similar logs needed to run, secure, and improve the service. Communications: messages you send us (including seller applications) and records when a buyer reveals seller contact details. We do not ask you to store payment card numbers on Garahe for vehicle purchases — deals are between buyers and sellers.

We use information to: create and manage accounts; show and moderate listings; run hand-review and anti-abuse controls; connect interested buyers with sellers; send service-related notices; improve product performance and reliability; and comply with law. We may use aggregated or de-identified data that cannot reasonably identify you.

We share data with: service providers who help us operate Garahe (notably Clerk for authentication and Cloudinary for images), under contracts that limit their use of the data; other users, when that is the point of the product (for example, listing content is public, and seller contact details may be shown to signed-in buyers who request them); and authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the marketplace. We do not sell your personal information.

We and our providers may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for sign-in sessions, security, and basic analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may break sign-in.

We keep account and listing data while your account is active and as needed to operate the marketplace, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Backups and logs may persist for a limited period after deletion.

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, or deletion of personal data we hold about you, or withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. Contact legal@garahe.store and we will respond within a reasonable time. You can also delete or edit listings you control in-product where that feature is available, and stop using Garahe at any time. If you signed in with Google, you can revoke Garahe’s access in your Google account settings; that may prevent further sign-ins until you reconnect.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; use Garahe with that in mind.

Garahe is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact legal@garahe.store and we will take appropriate steps.

Our providers may process data in countries outside the Philippines. By using Garahe, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in those locations with appropriate safeguards where required.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective” date above will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
